Remote Sensing Technology
CRI's remote sensing instrument measures the diffuse reflectance spectra of vegetation. It applies polarization sensing technology to obtain accurate and precise measurements in spectral regions where high sensitivity to species and growth factors are observed.
Applications
Detection of nitrogen stress in vegetation. Spectral identification of plant species. Feedback control in application of fertilizer and chemicals to agricultural crops. Early detection of invasive species by remote sensing. Ecological, agricultural, and botanical research.
